Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud commissioned a bespoke Airbus A380. Ordered in 2007, the aircraft was subsequently sold to an unidentified billionaire for a staggering $400 million before delivery. The new owner is said to have invested an additional $200 million in renovations, enlisting renowned interior designer Edèse Doret to create an even more opulent ambience.

Spanning three levels and featuring a glass elevator, the jet boasts a Turkish bath adorned with lavish gold-plated elements. The original design, including a built-in garage for the prince’s diamond-encrusted Rolls-Royce, was retained. A prayer room with automatically rotating prayer mats towards Mecca is also included. Airbus A340-300 (Estimated Value: $400 million)

The third most expensive private jet belongs to a prominent Russian billionaire, Alisher Usmanov who acquired an Airbus A340-300 for a substantial $238 million. Experts in the aviation industry estimate that he further invested a remarkable $170 million in customizing the aircraft’s interior.

Before undergoing a transformation by Lufthansa Technik, the Airbus ACJ350 was valued at $326 million. The owner further enhanced the jet’s luxury with undisclosed customizations. The aircraft boasts a family area, lounge, and office suite at the front, complete with a VIP bath and bedroom. 

A guest lounge occupies the middle section, while a dining area for eight and a full galley are located towards the rear. Four private guest rooms share two bathrooms. Additional amenities include a spa, private offices, and children’s playrooms. As stated on the Airbus website, these aircraft provide the equivalent of several houses in floor space. Additionally, they boast up to eight temperature zones and a hospital-grade filtration system.

Boeing 787-8 BBJ (Estimated Value: $324.6 million)

The Boeing 787-8 is priced at around $225 million. However, after an additional investment of $100 million, China’s HNA Group rebranded their private jet as the Boeing BBJ – Boeing Business Jet.

Spanning 2,400 square feet, it accommodates up to 40 passengers. The jet features a circular foyer with rich wood panelling, leading to a wave-inspired hallway and a main lounge with diverse seating options and a 55-inch screen. The primary suite includes a spacious walk-in closet, a dressing area, and a primary bathroom with a double shower and heated marble floors.

Drake’s Boeing 767, valued at $185 million, is reportedly a publicity investment as part of a deal with a Canadian cargo company. The rapper has meticulously customized the aircraft, adorning it with his signature baby blue colour scheme, the OVO owl logo, and clasped prayer hands on the tail. 

Known as “Air Drake,” the jet features a minimum of three private suites, two living rooms, a sophisticated business lounge, an entertainment room, and a bathroom. Within these spaces, you’ll discover a king-size bed, fully carpeted floors, flat-screen TVs, velvet couches, high-end furniture, and a shower. The cabin is adorned with smooth gold and wood surfaces, complemented by beige or light purple-coloured carpet and furnishings.

Boeing 767-33A/ER (Estimated Value: $170 million)

Known as a flying mansion, Roman Abramovich’s private jet, 767-33A/ER, also dubbed “The Bandit” for its distinctive slanting black stripes near the cockpit windows, lives up to its name with its expansive size and opulent amenities.
